Academic Earth is a website with “thousands of video lectures from the world’s top scholars.” It takes the open-course lectures that universities like Yale, MIT, and Berkeley offer for free, and aggregates them in a very useful package. It groups lectures by subject, by university, and by playlists (i.e., hand-selected lists of related lectures from different courses). It’s like iTunes U, only much easier to use and not stuck in Apple’s iTunes store. I hope Academic Earth continues to grow. It promises to be a great tool for education.

I found Academic Earth thanks to a literature blog that I read.
